Oppenheimer -2023 Review

The story of 'Oppenheimer' begins in 1920. Where a student wants to revolutionize the world of quantum mechanics. After that the story reaches his adulthood, when he starts teaching at Berkeley. Gets the company of veteran scientists from all over the world. A new world opens before him. Here he comes face to face with communism, which later becomes an important part of his journey. All this was going on when the second world war started. The Nazis have found the recipe for making the world's most powerful bomb. If they made this bomb earlier, it would not take time for the world to be destroyed. America wants to develop that bomb before Nazi Germany. In such a situation, the Manhattan Project is started. Whose command is handed over to Lieutenant General Leslie Groves. To head the project, Groves, Robert J. Let's choose Oppenheimer. Under his leadership, a team of scientists from all over the world together make Atom. After three years of hard work, the world's first atomic bomb gets ready. America uses that bomb on two cities of Japan, Hiroshima and Nagasaki. So that the second world war can be ended. In which more than 2 lakh people die. From here comes a new twist in the story. Oppenheimer felt that Japan was already about to capitulate. In such a situation, what was the need to drop bombs on them. He realizes his mistake. He starts feeling that his hands are stained in the blood of those people.

'Oppenheimer' happens more in the mind of the protagonist than on the screen. He is mentally disturbed. Earlier he was worried about making a perfect bomb. Now he is upset because of making that bomb. He wants to atone. But how, he doesn't know. In this the cinematography and background score of the film help him. There is a sequence in the film where Oppenheimer is about to address a gathering. There they have to be congratulated for making the atom bomb. That man's feet tremble while reaching the stage. When he reaches there, he finds the faces of the people standing there disfigured. Weeping people start appearing. It seems to him that his foot is trapped in the debris, which is the gift of the bomb he made. When a film is made about the making of Atom Bomb, then obviously the politics of the film will be discussed. But the politics of 'Oppenheimer' is woven into the story of the film. The man who made the bomb himself is full of guilt. He does not want any such bomb to be made in the future, which would put the world in any danger.

While watching 'Oppenheimer', on many occasions it seems that you are sitting in a physics class. However, we have to accept that Christopher Nolan's films are not for everyone. His films have a target audience. At the level of entertainment, you can underestimate this film a bit. But it is a strong film. Which will probably be counted among Nolan's most tremendous works. 'Oppenheimer' is an extraordinary film. You might not have seen anything like this before. It should be seen just to get the experience of watching it in theatres.
